In the fall and winter, I love a good hot drink. Whether it’s wassail, hot chocolate, or a cider like this slow cooker cranberry apple cider, I’m there. I just love how it can warm you up on a cold day.
This hot drink is easy to make because you can just let it simmer in your slow cooker. I also love the idea that there is no added sugar to this one too. If you must, you can always add a little if you need it, but I love it the way it is.

This drink does include anise which can be strong. Most people either love anise or hate it. I’m not a huge fan, but in the right recipe, it can work so well. I love it in this drink. This also includes cran-apple juice, cinnamon, cloves, apple slices, and fresh cranberries.
If you are opposed to anise, this slow cooker cranberry apple cider would still be amazing if you leave it out. I also love having the floating cranberries and apple slices in this drink. I just makes it look more fun. You can also add a cinnamon stick for serving.
