Quaker EVO Conference Breakfast
So at the EVO conference, Quaker was the sponsor of the Saturday morning breakfast. And of course, when I get home from a conference I am going to blog about the food. How can I not? It was a delicious Quaker EVO Conference breakfast. I am also sending in a request to the hotel for a recipe. Cross your fingers that I get it and then I can also share it with you all.
The Saturday breakfast was a beautiful spread with Quaker Oatmeal as the center of the meal. They had all kinds of toppings to place on your oatmeal. So today I am sharing with you how I enjoyed my oatmeal at the breakfast. It isn’t an exact recipe per say but it was delicious and you must try it.
The breakfast also included other fabulous food – fresh fruit, whipped cream, scones, croissants, bagels, cream cheese, and juices. LOVED IT! Thanks to Quaker for a excellent way to start off the day.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for two last minute dessert recipes for your 4th of July celebrations. They will be quick and easy and both involve cherries and chocolate!
Laura’s Ultimate Bowl of Oatmeal
1 bowl of prepared oatmeal
Then top with the following:
- brown sugar
- fresh strawberry slices
- chopped pecans
- fresh blueberries
- fresh raspberries
- half and half (yes I splurged and snuck over to where the coffee was and used half and half on my oatmeal rather than milk, but you can do milk if you must!)
I have oats a lot for breadfast. Yours looks so pretty and I rather like the orange decoration on the cookies, simple but very effective 🙂

Don’t feel bad about the half and half, I tried a recipe that had you put 1/4 cup vanilla frozen yogurt on your oatmeal. I didn’t have any, so I used light ice cream (a homemade vanilla flavor) – best oatmeal ever. It melts into the oatmeal, and it’s only 1/4 cup – that’s not too much right? Plus it was light ice cream. Recipe was actually from a diet book.
I also stirred a little jam and splenda into the oatmeal and topped it with matching fruit – I’ve made it with peach jam, peaches and pecans and strawberry jam with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and almonds. (very similar to yours) YUM!

Beautiful pics… viewed as I sit here overdosing on an entire bag of Quaker True Delights–the one we got in our conference welcome bags… the blueberry flavor. Have you tried them? Mmmmmm!

Love your post! Aside from being pretty – that was seriously the best bowl of oatmeal I’ve ever had! I took advantage of all of the berries and took more than my fair share!
