I recently was invited to go to Nashville and watch the 2014 Pillsbury Bake Off. In the world of food contests, this is a pretty big deal because it has the biggest cash prize – $1 Million!

Last year, I also was able to attend and watch the event. It was held in Las Vegas. For me, being in Utah, Las Vegas is something I get to go to often. However, Nashville, I had never been there until the Bake Off.

So this years contest is a little different than last years. This time the Million Dollar Winner wasn’t announced at the end of the contest. This time, they announced the winners for 4 categories. Then the public gets to vote on line for the winner. This will count as 45% of their final score. You get to help choose the Pillsbury Bake Off Winner!

Here is who the 4 Finalists are:

Cuban-Style Sandwich Pockets from Courtney Sawyer of Bellingham, WA

Creamy Corn-Filled Sweet Peppers from Jody Walker of Madison, MS

Peanutty Pie Crust Cluster from Beth Royals of Richmond, VA

Chocolate Doughnut Poppers from Megan Beimer of Alexandria, VA

I did have the opportunity to sample of the recipes and they are all pretty tasty, but there was a recipe that I thought was deserving of the prize and that is who I voted for! So be sure to go to vote.bakeoff.com and cast you vote. You only have until Dec. 2!

It was awesome to be there and see all of the 100 amazing recipes that make it to the Bake Off! I was able to spend my time hanging out with my good friend Heather over at Whipperberry. She figured out that we sampled just over 30 of the 100 finalist recipes!

Let me just tell you that there were some tasty items! There are some that I am gonna have to make. You can also get a copy of all the recipes in one little book! You can find it on grocery store shelves! Or you can find them online.

This years host of the contest was Carla Hall from The Chew. She did an awesome job and is always smiling and full of energy! It was so fun to be included in this fun contest.

Disclosure: My trip to the Bake Off was taken care of by Pillsbury. However, I was not compensated for this post and my opinions are always my own.
