Today on Christmas Eve I am sharing with you my favorite fab five Christmas movies.

First is It’s a Wonderful Life.  This is an oldie but a goodie.  We have the tradition of watching this as a family every Christmas Eve now that the kids are older.  I can never get tired of it (that is as long as we watch it just once each year).  It really puts me in the mood for Christmas and I think everyone can related to some part of George Bailey’s life.  I love the message of the story.

Next is The Santa Clause and The Santa Clause 2.  I love the idea that the not so Christmas spirited Scott Calvin has to take on the roll of Santa after he falls of his roof.  Scott finds the spirit of Christmas through filling Santa’s shoes and through his Santa believing son Charlie.

Then in the second movie Santa has to find a wife in order to continue being Santa and the story of how that evolves is so fun.

Miracle on 34th Street (The Dylan McDermott version) is my next fav. First off, I mean it has Dylan McDermott in it and Mara Wilson is so darn cute! Then I love the story of how a young “non-believing” girl ends up vouching for the identity of the ‘”real” Santa.

My last fav is Home Alone. As a parent, who hasn’t had the fear of forgetting about on of your children?  The crazy happenings that unfold to eight-year-old Kevin McCallister while he is left by himself at home at Christmas while two men try to burglarize the house is too fun. That is the complete list of my fab five Christmas movies.
