Easy Fruit Dip

I found this recipe for easy fruit dip a while ago in a Lion House Cookbook I checked out from the library. I think it was from the Lion House Entertaining cookbook. The library is a great place for me, lots of cookbooks that I can have for 3 weeks for free. My husband and our pocket book are definitely grateful for the library. Also, this helps me decide if a cookbook is worth purchasing.

I like this recipe because it was similar to a recipe I have posted before, Shockingly Simple Fruit Dip. That recipe uses a block of cream cheese and a jar of marshmallow creme to create a fast and delicious fruit dip. So, this recipe is basically the same idea except you use flavored cream cheese and a couple tablespoons of juice.

The recipe calls for pineapple cream cheese or strawberry cream cheese. I used strawberry. The orange and lemon juice were a nice addition also. Just gave all that sweetness a little tang. We all loved it. I especially loved it with bananas and it was pretty good with the apples too. I am sure it would also be excellent made with the pineapple cream cheese. I’ll have to try that next time. This dip will be a breeze to whip up anytime.

  2. Thanks for all your great recipes!! We have a zucchini plant that's just started to produce and I thought you would probably have some recipes for zucchini – some that my family would actually try – and I was pleased to see you have a great selection!! Thanks again!

  3. i use this same recipe for all my catered tray events. cream cheese, fruit and fluff.. now for the adults i do a dip with the amaretto spiked dip the nutty almond flavor is so wonderful and smells divine also can use cointreau for the great orange flavor as well

and the extras can be put in a pie shelll and topped with whiped cream for a frozen dessert night pie

  4. I have been making this for YEARS-people are always shocked that it is such a SIMPLE recipe! We honestly think it is the best fruit dip-and I can get my hubby and kids to eat more fruit this way! 🙂
