Bananarita Smoothie

I am a smoothie lover. It was one of my favorite breakfasts when I was doing weight watchers and it still is now. I originally found this recipe on Saturday morning after posting another smoothie recipe on my site. I was checking my emails and saw one from Mommy’s Kitchen. It was a new post of hers from Wednesday. It was a recipe for Bananarita Smoothie. I had to go make it right then for breakfast.
I happen to have 5 over ripe bananas sitting on my counter waiting to have something done with them. This was the perfect way to use up 4 of them. The bananas with the fresh kick of lime was a great flavor combination. I think the smoothie would have even been better if my bananas would have been frozen.

If the amount of lime is too strong for you in this Bananarita Smoothie, just cut back on the lime and use more milk. I found the amount lime was perfect for us!
I do recommend not using bananas that are too over ripe. When those bananas get to the point that they are just barely over ripe to just eat, peel them and place them in a freezer ziploc bag. Then you can have them ready to go for whatever smoothie you may be making.
