- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups quick oats
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large bowl, beat butter and both sugars together until creamy.
- Add in eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Then add in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well.
- Fold in the oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. Makes 4 dozen.
Notes
For high altitude – use 1 3/4 cups flour.
For bar cookies, press into a 9 x 13 pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
