Vanilla Syrup


  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla


  1. In a sauce pan, bring water to a boil. Then whisk in the sugar and cornstarch, Stir for 3 -5 minutes until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and mix in butter, salt, and vanilla. Allow to cool to warm before serving. Makes 2 cups.
