Sugar Cream Pie


  • 1 prepared pie crust at room temperature
  • 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Once oven is heated, place pie crust in the oven for 10-12 minutes to partially bake.
  3. In a sauce pan, whisk together the cornstarch and sugar. Then add in the melted butter and heavy cream. Whisk together and cook over medium heat while stirring until thick and creamy.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla.
  5. Pour the mixture into the partially baked pie crust and spread out evenly.
  6. In a bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping. Drizzle the melted butter oven the top of the pie and then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Then broil for about 1 minute to crisp the sugary topping.
  8. Allow pie to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serves 12-16.
