Simple Candied Jalapenos or Peppers

Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 jalapenos, cut into rings and amount of seeds remove as desired for the amount of heat you want
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery seeds

Instructions

  1. In a sauce pan, add all of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Be sure to stand back from the sauce pan, the fumes from the boiling jalapenos can burn you nose and eyes.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to cool and pour into a glass jar with a lid. Place in the fridge and store for up to 2 weeks.
