Ever heard of just add water bbq sauce?  Well that is exactly what Shirley J has.  With Shirley J BBQ Sauce Mix mix that is all you do.  Just add water and then you have bbq sauce. I have shared a recipe for bbq ribs before using the mix.  However, instead of whatever I used root beer. That is the beauty of the mix, you can add any liquid to the mix to make a yummy sauce.

You can find yummy ways to use the Shirley J bbq sauce mix on the Shirley J website.  Check out these recipes made with the mix.
Asian BBQ Sauce
Sweet Molasses BBQ Sauce
Kansas City BBQ Sauce
Cherry BBQ Sauce
Vanilla BBQ Sauce
Mustard BBQ Sauce
Spicy BBQ Sauce
Cranberry BBQ Sauce
Pineapple BBQ Sauce

You can even make a bbq ranch dressing with the mix.
Shirley J has been nice enough to provide 2 of their bbq sauce mixes to giveaway to two lucky readers!  All you need to do to enter is leave a comment on this post telling me what you would want to do first with the mix if you won.  You have until Monday August 22 at 10 pm (MST) to enter!  Winner will be chosen at random and announce on Tues August 23.

I would use the mix to help usher in football season…I would make little smokies wrapped in bacon and make a sauce for them using the BBQ Sauce powder, apricot jam, a couple shakes of cayenne pepper and maybe a little 7up to thin it if necessary. Yummy. I can think of a million ways to use this product!

Oh, there are so many things I could do with this mix. I would probably add some to my crockpot pinto beans just to change it up a bit. Of course, there are the normal sauce making options. I bet mixing this with a different juices would be great. 🙂 Maybe adding a sprinkle of it to pasta or potato salad. Oh, the possibilities. 🙂
