Heinz 57 Giveaway

I have a fun giveaway to help spice up your summer celebrations. Heinz 57 Sauce is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year! Since 1911, the sauce has been adding zest to chicken, steak, pork, seafood and veggies.

To celebrate, Heinz 57 has provided a prize pack for me to giveaway to one of you.  You’ll be able to  add some flavor from an American classic to your summer barbecue. The prize pack will include the classic sauce with a specially marked 100th anniversary label (in stores now), but also some retro goodies for your BBQ:

  • Festive plates and silverware to brighten up the table
  • Retro glasses for your refreshments
  • American flag accessories for a festive touch
  • A checkered tablecloth for a classic touch
  • A citronella candle to keep the bugs from ruining the fun

to enter this giveaway, just leave a comment telling me what your favorite American classic you like to include with your barbecue.  You have until Sunday July 24 at 10 pm (MST) to enter.

We have a fire pit in out backyard and during the summer months we have wiener roasts. It is a must to have hot dogs, baked beans (on the fire pit), chips and smore’s. This is a every other weekend treat. YUM! YUM!

Good ol’ fashion hot dogs. I’m not picky about the type- I even eat the cheese filled ones. They remind me of summer, baseball games, and being a kid. Plus, I knew I was marrying the right man when he adders to let me have hot dogs at our wedding. No BBQ is complete without hot dogs 🙂

My all-time favorite go-to with Heinz 57 is oregano french fries and/or mashed potato salad. Brings back many happy memories of family times with loved ones .

Simple, homemade pasta salad. Italian salad dressing, pasta noodles, avacado, tomatoe, feta cheese, cucumber & olives. YUM-O!!

although you have your typical fair at all picnics, there are two desserts we can’t go without…one is the five cup fruit salad (1c. sour cream, 1c. fruit cocktail, 1 c. mini marshmallows, 1c. sweetened coconut &1c cool whip OR mandarin oranges) and the other is banana split desert (yellow or white cake, cover with crushed pineapple – undrained, top w/cool whip, drizzle with choco sauce, sprinkle with chopped nuts and chopped maraschino cherries) — they are equally enjoyed and must have on hand!

You have to have potatoes. We peel and slice potatoes. Put in a foil packet with chopped onions, butter and salt & pepper. Put on the grill for about 7 mintues on each side. YUM!
