Growing up, one of my favorite things to eat was scones! These aren’t the English type of scones, I call them Utah scones. They are made by frying a bread dough. This recipe is called German Scones with Cinnamon Honey Butter.
They are great for breakfast, but I always thought it was cool when my mom make them for dinner. We would have all kinds of stuff to put on top of these crisp golden pillows – butter, jam, peanut butter, honey, etc. They are also great coated in cinnamon sugar.
Well, today I am flashing back to a tasty scone recipe that I shared back in my first year of blogging. This dough is made the night before and ready to go in the morning. It has since come a family favorite.
It also includes a recipe for cinnamon honey butter which is so tasty to serve along with these. Try ’em, you’ll like ’em!
