Classic Buttermilk Waffles


  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups (14 oz) buttermilk
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt


  1. In a bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla together.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together. Add the dry ingredients and wet ingredients and whisk together just until smooth.
  3. Cook according to waffle manufacturer directions until golden brown. Makes 4-6 waffles.
