- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- dash salt
- In a large sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Then add the sugar and evaporated ilk to the pan. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Boil for 3 minutes, while stirring.
- Remove from the heat and mix in the vanilla and salt. Allow to cool slightly before serving. It will thicken as it cools.
