- Cream sugars and shortening well, then add eggs, one at a time and vanilla. Whisk flour, soda, baking powder together and add to sugar mixture. Lastly stir in (or use dough hook) oatmeal, rice krispies, and coconut, and chocolate chips.
- Form into balls, press flat with your hand on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes (I cooked mine for 9 minutes). They should look a bit undercooked. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes, then cool the rest of the way on a cooling rack.
